Arcanobacterium haemolyticum, formerly known asCorynebacterium hæmolyticum, is a bacterial species.
Treatment
A. hæmolyticum isolated from humans is susceptible to erythromycin (proposed as the first line drug), clindamycin, gentamicin, and cephalosporins.
The use of parenteral antimicrobial drugs must be limited to serious infections.
